Official Line Up of Fast and Furious Cars 6

If you were a teenager when the first Fast and Furious cars came out, then you would have probably grown up by now, possible with kids and a mortgage. Hopefully your passion for cars stayed in-tact!

fast-and-furious-6_lettyEven though we still have a couple of months before the 6th instalment to the saga hits the silver screens world-wide, knowing what the hero cars are is something that’s usually some-what of a priority to us enthusiasts.

Now if you’re anything like us, you would know that the Fast and Furious franchise is all about entertainment. So lets not circle jerk around the corny one-liners and the inconsistency of real-life automotive physics. Lets try to enjoy numero 6 for what it is; Hollywood blockbuster mind-numbing entertainment with some pretty aesthetically pleasing machines.

fast and furious cars

Since most of the fast and furious cars featured in the movies have been Japanese rice cakes and ‘Murica muscle, one could easily be led to believe that after 5 movies, they wouldn’t bother with changing the recipe. But oh contrary! There will be some European old-school strength adorning the screens. Definitely a breath of fresh air.

fast-and-furious-cars_tyreseSo what about the hero fast and furious cars? Well lets start with Vin Diesel’s character, Dom’ Toretto. The fearless douchey leader will be behind the wheel of a Daytona spec ’69 Charger. Now, we don’t need to remind you that it’s not actually a real Daytona Charger – this is hollywood, man.

Earlier in the movie, Dom’ is teamed up with a 2011 Challenger and will eventually end up with a ’70 Plymouth ‘Cuda. Do you remember the Challanger though? Its meant to be the same one he had at the end of fast and furious 5, obviously for continuity.

The pretty boy, Paul Walker will of course, be piloting a GT-R (he actually owns his own GT-R 34 V-Spec II) but in the start of the movie he’ll be behind a standard 2012 GT-R. When the film climaxes, this GT-R will have evolved into a 1,000+ hp machine!

We mentioned Euro muscle earlier in this post. And yes, it is confirmed that a 1970 Escort RS2000 will be featured in the movie. Michelle Rodriguez (Letty) comes back from the dead in a ’71 Jensen Interceptor. Now she doesn’t actually come back from the dead because this is a prequel – but you already knew that.

There will be a plethora of Ford Mustangs and a Tank. Yes, a tank. The baddies will be switching four lanes in 2010 M5s. Also unconfirmed but seen in the trailer is a 2012 SRT-8 Charger and a 2006 Aston Martin also makes a cameo. So there you have the line up of the 6th instalment of Fast and Furious cars. Lets just hope they have learned from their mistake of fluro-coloured exhaust and a final drift battle that looked more like a crash derby!
