Testimonial Article
TL-Article 001 Date: 24-Feb-07

Texas Driving Experience (TDE) has completed testing on the DBA 5000 series - two piece rotors.

The tests beginning June, 2006 through to present.

The following are documented results from two different 2004 C5 Z06 Corvettes.

TDE experienced technicians, installed all DBA brake rotors and utilized manufacture-required installation procedures. TDE Senior Instructor bedded all rotors as per manufacture stated procedures. The same type and compound brake pads where used with all rotors tested:  Hawk HP Plus. All TDE techs and personnel were monitored closely by management to follow pre-determined testing procedures.

The benchmark that TDE has established for testing all rotors and replacement time is when the first visible, small, cracks appear in either side of a rotor. Any crack equals rotor replacement. New brake pads were always used on all rotor replacements and brake pads were never consumed past half-life.

Baseline for GM one piece stock rotors under TDE application
=  300   Miles
( + or -  50 Miles )

Cryo treated, after-market one piece rotors under TDE application
=  600   Miles
( + or -  50 Miles )

Stoptech two piece rotors under TDE application
=  1000 Miles
( + or -  50 Miles )

DBA two piece rotors under TDE application
=  2750 Miles
( + or -  50 Miles )

From our results, it is obvious that the DBA two piece rotors allow more than 2x’s more mileage than other two piece rotors, tested. Texas Driving Experience utilizes their cars under extreme track conditions with both professional and student drivers. Regardless of driving experience, DBA two piece rotors are the best choice when looking for aftermarket rotors for use with stock Z06 calipers.

If a Corvette owner is looking to upgrade their stock braking system for track days or a cool looking slotted rotor appearance, DBA Rotors are the best selection. A great benefit to the DBA rotors is that they come with three heat sensing stripes. This innovation allows the driver to monitor rotor temperature, a feature we haven’t seen anywhere else. Texas Driving Experience has tested and proven that DBA two piece rotor systems (with stock Z06 calipers), to be the very best product available.

This product is value for money and the benefits are outstanding.

Thanks, DBA
